Extinct Animal in Cage of Eden Manga – Eusmilus

Introduction to extinct animals in Cage of Eden manga

Eusmilus

Debut: Chapter 75

Eusmilus were sometimes called the “false sabre-tooth”. Some were as small as lynxes while others were over 2m in length. They differ from the Smilodon, who are in the Felidae family, as they belong to the Nimravidae family. Large sized ones had fangs of up to 18cm and there is a protuberance in the bony tissue in the lower jaw for the fangs. Its relatively large body is long, while its four limbs are short. Its jaw can open 90 degrees and like Smilodons, it uses its long fangs to pierce and kill its prey. It was one of the most powerful hunters back in its time.

Eusmilus (‘true sabre’) is a prehistoric genus of the family Nimravidae, subfamily Nimravinae endemic to North America, Europe, and Asia during the Late Eocene-Early Oligocene epochs (37.2-28.4 mya), existing for approximately 8.8 million years.

Eusmilus had a long body and was about as tall as a leopard. It had developed long saber teeth and looked like a saber-toothed cat, but was actually a so-called ‘false saber-tooth’. Most were leopard-sized and rather long-bodied and short-legged compared to modern leopards. Some reached 2.5 metres long. Eusmilus had lost many other teeth, possessing only 26 instead of the 44 usually seen in carnivore mammals. Its mouth could open to an angle of 90 degrees, allowing the creature to properly use its saber teeth. Bony flanges projected from Eusmilus ‘ lower jaw to protect the sabers. There is fossil evidence of conflict between Eusmilus and Nimravus, another genus of nimravid.

Fairy Tail 313 Summary

Fairy Tail 313 – The King’s Scenario

Summary:

Shocked by the appearance of another Lucy, Natsu and his group immediately begin to question the “Lucy” standing in front of them, who shocks them all greatly by reminding them of the Eclipse Project and its ability to allow time travel, stating that she used the device to travel from the future. Before the others can question her further though, “future Lucy” collapses, worrying the group who decide that they can’t leave her in the Abyss Palace and move to take her with them. Planning to get out of the castle and send up a flare to inform everyone else in Fairy Tail that they have Lucy, the group head out.

Concurrently, in the castle, Datong questions Hisui over the functioning of the Eclipse Plan, asking her why, when the twelve zodiac keys are required to operate the machine, she allowed both Lucy and Yukino to be sent to the Abyss Palace. Hisui however reveals that she has already used the keys she confiscated from the two to unlock the Eclipse door, and that the machine now merely requires human hands to be activated. This unnerves Datong, who still questions the morality of using the machine, and Hisui admits that she wishes to have both him and Arcadios by her side if the plan needs to go ahead, as she is uncertain of herself. Still awaiting the results of the Grand Magic Games, Hisui states that for now they can merely watch and wait.

Currently competing in the Games are Erza and Kagura, both of whom are enraged by the fact that Minerva (in an attempt to manipulate them) has captured and is harming Millianna, whom she has held in her Magic. Maddened by seeing her guild mate and friend hurt, Kagura threatens Minerva, telling her to release Millianna at once or face her wrath. Minerva merely urges Kagura on in her threat, and Kagura attacks, though just before she can land her blow, Minerva uses her Magic to switch places with Erza, almost causing the two to attack each other. Claiming that she wants the two to battle and that she will fight the winner, Minerva makes Millianna disappear and calmly begins to walk off. Erza calls Minerva a coward and tells her to fight fairly, though the Sabertooth Mage replies that she is merely taking advantage of every situation so that she can win. When Erza further threatens her and demands Millianna’s release, Kagura suddenly attacks her, screaming that she has no right to call Millianna a friend. Stating that the two have much to talk about, Minerva vanishes, and Kagura turns her steely gaze on Erza, vowing to defeat them both.

Meanwhile, in another part of Crocus, Gajeel wanders, questioning Mavis’ strategy and where it started to go wrong. Rounding a corner, he is confronted by Rogue, the two coldly greeting one another.

Also starting up a battle is Laxus, who has met with Sabertooth’s Orga. As Orga reveals his true nature as a Lightning God Slayer, Laxus teasingly inquires whether his powers are enough to kill a fairy.

As the commentators remark on the number of new fights breaking out around the city, they also realized that the Lacrima vision has been unable to find Sting for some time. Whilst Frosch pleas from the stands for Sabertooth to win and save Lector, and Hisui and Datong watch tensely from the palace, Sting sits in an empty alleyway, remarking on the dirty play on Minerva’s behalf, but not caring as long as it secures Sabertooth’s win. He then says that he has a plan that will lead them into the best victory.

Naruto 615 Summary

Naruto 615 – Connected

Summary:

Mocking Naruto’s earlier statement that he would not allow any of his comrades to die, Obito points out the many shinobi who had died from the Uchiha’s last attack. While others around them also realise that Neji was dead, and Hiashi silently apologises to his brother for failing to protect his son, Obito begins a tirade against Naruto’s beliefs — leading Madara to note that Obito had become a great deal like himself — sending Naruto spiralling into shock.

As Obito beckons to Naruto to join their cause, Hinata snaps Naruto out of his trance-like state and reminds him of what Neji had said before dying as well as what, and why they were here fighting, reaffirming Naruto’s ninja way, sentiments echoed by Kurama in the beast’s own special way, reminding its host that his parents had also died in a similar manner to Neji. Meanwhile, atop the Ten-Tails, Madara notes that Obito seemed to be awaiting a response from Naruto, not long before Obito decides to act, which Madara chides him for his rashness causing possible harm to the Ten-Tails.

Dismissing this, Obito has the beast prepare a Tailed Beast Ball which is deflected by B who launches himself at the beast’s mouth in his Eight-Tails form with his own Tailed Beast Ball. Shutting the beast’s mouth with his head stuck in there, B launches the Ball which explodes inside the beast causing it to fall and writhe in pain. With her words getting through to him, Naruto rallies around, and, holding Hinata’s hand, Naruto enters Tailed Beast Mode, enshrouding Hinata in the form’s chakra armor as well, prepared to face his opponents once again, and stating he’ll never let Hinata’s hand go.

One Piece 694 Summary

One Piece 694  – A Very Dangerous Man

Summary :

After Baby 5′s attack, Franky Shogun is seen lying on the deck surrounded by flames. Baby 5 reforms through her ability after her attack as Missile Girl. Buffalo asks if she needs some weapons he picked up, although comments how she’s already a weapon herself. Baby 5 says that they are blessed but the weapons were bought because she felt “needed”, due to her personality. Franky Shogun punches her from behind but she jumps out of the way and forms a revolver. Frank takes the full blast but laughs it off, sarcastically saying that it would work.

On the tanker, Caesar realizes that Baby 5 and Buffalo are here to save him but is still seen holding Smoker’s heart.

In the SAD Production Room, Vergo is seen talking to Doflamingo through a Den Den Mushi, where the latter apologizes to the Vice Admiral for what is to come. He tells Vergo that he was his longest companion and thanks him for his hard work. However, even pieces, Vergo smiles.

In the SAD transport corrider, Momonosuke is still in shock and in grief over Kinemon’s state. Brook mistakes him for an eel. The group then hears an explosion, which Law says came from the Production Room. Rocks begin to fall down from the ceiling – Law tells them that the corridor is a tunnel and if it were to collaspe, all the occupants would be buried alive. Coincidentally, the way in front of them is blocked. However, Zoro simply cuts through the rock with ease.

Monet is still in Building C, ready to set off the poison with the button. A series of frames shows scenes such as the children crying, Sanji kicking away a rock and Doflamingo sitting in his room at Dressrosa. Monet mentally says goodbye to the Shichibukai, saying that he will be the next Pirate King.

Caesar then prepares to kill Smoker, using a sharp object to pierce his heart. He laughs and says “Die Smoker!” However, Smoker is shown to be perfectly normal while Monet collapses with blood flowing out of her mouth. She pulls up her top to reveal a cube-shaped hole in her chest. Doflamingo realizes something is wrong and orders her to answer him. Monet is seen to completely collapse, most likely killed.

On the trolley, the children urge it to move forward. Smoker asks Law why Caesar thought he had Smoker’s heart. Law flashbacks to the moment when Caesar outlines the bond of the contract – Law must give his heart and Caesar would give Monet’s heart. After fighting Smoker, Law has two hearts in his hands, Smoker’s and Monet’s. Unknown to Caesar, Law had returned Monet’s heart. He explains this to Smoker, saying that Caesar simply misunderstood and Law “kindly gave back the heart of the secretary, Monet”. He underlines this action with his belief that those who do good will get good things in return. Law then calmly asks if anyone can produce wind as there would be gas in the atmosphere. The Marines are surprised, claiming that no one has such an ability. However, Nami tells them that she can, leaving the Marines even more surprised. Someone else shouts that the exit can be seen.

On Dressrosa, a young girl is seen looking for Doflamingo. She asks an old man about his whereabouts, who replies that he should be on the fourth floor. The girl says that he wasn’t, where the window was wide open. The old man seems calm but dark as he is states that he has no idea and that “he went without company again”.

Somewhere in the sea, a figure is seen running in midair. It appears that the figure is talking to Baby 5 and Buffalo, telling him that they are held up by an “iron guard”. The figure seems uninterested, telling them to finish it off and nothing that there was no big explosion. It is revealed to be Doflamingo, who states that he’s coming to Punk Hazard.
