Bleach 527 – Eliminate from Heaven
Summary:
Zaraki stabs Unohana but screams for Unohana not to die because he hasn’t fought enough yet. Unohana dies happy having brought out Zaraki’s true power, and Zaraki then hears the voice of his zanpukto calling out to him.
Meanwhile back at Nimaiya’s shack, Renji has stands bloodied but triumphant but Ichigo seems to have flunked Nimaiya’s test. Ichigo wants to continue but Nimaiya states that the asauchi didn’t choose Ichigo which means he’s not a real shinigami and therefore Nimaiya is not going to fix his zanpukto. Nimaiya tells Mela to remove Ichigo and send him home. Ichigo breaks free, but Nimaiya sends Ichigo away with some teleport technique.

Bleach 526 – The Battle
Summary:
Zaraki thinks he has beaten Unohana but he gets cut instead. The battle continues on Unohana goes bankai. Zaraki “awakens” and realizes this is the “fighting” he has been looking for. Silently, Unohana and Zaraki agree thtat they both live for fighting. Unohana has developed her healing techniques so that she can keep on fighting, while Zaraki limited himself so he can enjoy fighting. When Unohana fought Zaraki for the first time, she realized that Zaraki would take over the title of Kenpachi and that her job is to bring him to the next level. Back in the present, Unohana silently bids farewell as Zaraki stabs her with his sword.

Bleach 525 – Edges
Summary:
While being hurled across the arena, Zaraki struggles to discover why he keeps suddenly losing consciousness in the middle of the fight. He feels nostalgic as it happened once before.
Meanwhile, Unohana thinks back to a time when she was on a mission in Rukongai. Her subordinate arrives at her presence and informs her that no matter how much he searched, he will be able to find a single person in Rukongai strong enough to satisfy her. Unohana remarks that he realized her real intentions. The subordinate states that the mission is to “subjugate the warriors on the outskirts of Rukongai to keep the peace in Seireitei”, and that if there wasn’t such a reason there would be no need to send someone like her. He further tells her that he considers that the size of the mountain of corpses beside them represents the amount of her displeasure. Then, a young Zaraki suddenly appears on top of the mountains. Zaraki and Unohana immediately face off, and Unohana states she never thought she’d find so much pleasure facing a child.
Back in the present, the two Kenpachis continue to battle. Zaraki realizes that he is now fighting by reflex, instead of reacting to the sword like before. He feels that every time he regains his consciousness, he feels like he’s been reborn. In her thoughts, Unohana remarks that Zaraki probably did not realize that he was restraining his fighting power to the extreme all along. She also notes that during their previous fight, they both enjoyed an experience they’ve never felt before and he found pleasure in fighting to the limit. She was weaker than him, and he had to restrain his power to make the fight longer, as he was afraid of losing the only opportunity to enjoy a fight. He got weaker because of her worthlessness. She noted that as Zaraki fought more fights to the verge of death, he was releasing his shackles and growing back to his normal self. As Unohana impales Zaraki with her sword, she thinks that she will kill Zaraki a hundred thousand times and heal him again and again, until he returns to his former self, even after he surpasses her. Engulfed with blood, Zaraki strikes Unohana down her entire body.

Bleach 524 – The Drop
Summary:
Unohana has left a letter to her lieutenant Isane, while Zaraki leaves his eye patch for Yachiru to find. In the dark, isolated cave, Unohana and Zaraki start their battle with Unohana easily getting the better of Zaraki with her two sword style. Zaraki is slashed and beat up and Unohana tells him that he’s weak. Eventually Unohana disarms Zaraki and stabs him through the throat. Zaraki thinks he is done for, but moments later he is fighting Unohana again. Zaraki isn’t sure what happened but decides to focus on the fight instead. Little does Zaraki know, Unohana’s plan is for Zaraki to get stronger by sending him cross the boundary the death again and again, and this is a mistake on Zaraki’s part and a sin on Unohana’s part.

Bleach 523 – Swords of Origin
Summary:
Ichigo and Renji find themselves pitted in a test of combat with nameless Zanpakuto, which Nimaiya reveals to be the Asauchi. Nimaiya explains that the Asauchi every member of the Gotei 13 is given upon graduation from the Shin’o Academy is essentially a blank template, and that over time the essence of the wielder’s soul is projected onto the blade, thus creating the wielder’s personal Zanpakutō. These Asauchi are all made by Nimaiya himself.
Nimaiya further explains that the Asauchi feel anger towards Ichigo and Renji, because of their incorrect usage of their Zanpakuto, and finally questions who is truly superior in the relationship between Shinigami and Zanpakuto.
Meanwhile, on the lowest floor of the Central Underground Prison, “Muken,” Zaraki Kenpachi and Unohana enter a dark cavernous space. Unohana explains that this is the only place she and Zaraki could freely fight, and that it was only due to special permission from the Head Captain that they were permitted there. Under normal circumstances, no one, even condemned criminals are forbidden to enter, to which Zaraki states that if not for their strength they would be deemed criminals themselves. Unohana gives Kenpachi a chilling look, and remarking upon how talkative he has been, reveals a scar above her heart. Unohana says her wound is throbbing, and Kenpachi echoes her, pointing at the scar over his left eye.
In another room Captain Commander Kyoraku remarks upon the strength of the original Gotei 13, and says that their 11th Division Captain (Unohana) was famed for her mastery of different swords and schools of swordsmanship, taking the name “Yachiru.” He then says that when Zaraki and Unohana clash, it is inevitable that one of them will die. Back in Muken, the two jump towards each other and the fight begins.

Bleach 522 – Love It
Summary:
While Oetsu is told that Ichigo and Renji have arrived, Kon complains about the two Shinigami using as a cushion to land and that he was dragged away from the last palace by them despite wanting to stay. The trio are loudly greeted by Oetsu, who identifies himself as the number one Zanpakuto creator. He brings them to a building where they are welcomed by a number of ladies and formally introduces himself, forcing them to perform an elaborate formal greeting.
Mera interrupts Oetsu and has the group follow her to a hut on the edge of a precipice. She states that the hut is the real Hooden and that her master does not like to acknowledge that he lives there. Ichigo and Renji step inside and fall a short distance. Oetsu tells them that he is the only Shinigami there and that the other people are actually Zanpakuto. He notes Ichigo’s inability to discern the difference and states that they have no love for Zanpakuto which is why they cannot tell the difference and then shatters Renji’s Zanpakuto, saying that a Zanpakuto that is not loved breaks easily. As they notice beings around them, Oetsu states that the wrath of the Zanpakuto is around them and that if they can get out alive then he will reforge their blades.

Bleach 521 – A Piggy Party
As they fall towards Kirio Hikifune’s palace, Renji and Ichigo squabble over which of them will break the other’s fall. They discover that Kon had hidden himself in Ichigo’s robes and use him to cushion their landing.
After Kirio greets them, she prepares a banquet for them to feast upon. While Ichigo initially thinks that there will be a catch to being fed, Kirio notes that being around Kisuke Urahara has made him overly suspicious. While she goes to make dessert, Renji, Ichigo and Kon dine. Ichigo wonders if it is alright for them to be treated to hot springs and feasts while those in Seireitei prepare for battle, but Renji reassures him that they need to be fully recovered before they can train hard.
Kirio returns with the dessert, having become much slimmer, leaving the trio bewildered. She explains that when she cooks, she uses up her reiatsu and thus she tries to put on as much weight as possible to counter the weight loss that results from cooking.
Kirio tells them that the Royal Guard members have all contributed something significant to the history of Soul Society as recognized by the Soul King. Kirio is responsible for the creation of Artificial Souls and she used the same principals to strengthen their reiatsu via their food. She then warns them that in the next palace they will meet Oetsu Nimaiya, the man who made the Zanpakuto.

Bleach 520 – Killers Not Dead
After messing around at Kirinji’s healing spa, Ichigo and Renji are deemed good enough to leave after they survive being punched by Kirinji. Kirinji and his two subordinates are impressed by Ichigo and friends’ ability to withstand the spring, and Kirinji even hurt his own hand punching Ichigo. Renji and Ichigo are then launched to the next palace.
Meanwhile, Kyoraku has been appointed the new Captain Commander of the Gotei 13. Kyoraku meets with the Central 46 to lay out his terms. Kyoraku’s first request of having two vice captains is granted with small complaints, but then Kyoraku rattles a few feathers by stating that he’ll have Kenpachi Zaraki learn the art of killing. The Central 46 fear that Kenpachi will become too powerful to contain and even Yamamoto dared to only teach Zaraki kendo for one day, but the Central 46 doesn’t have a better solution to fight off another invasion. With the consent, Kyoraku hands the task of teaching Zaraki to the first Kenpachi Unohana Yachiru.

Bleach 519 - Hot Hot Heat
Ichigo and the Zero Division arrive at the realm of the Spirit Palace. Ichigo wonders where is "key" to get into the realm, and the bearded captain explains that the key is are the members of the Zero Division themselves. Aizen had tried to recreate one of them in order to gain access to the realm to assassinate the Spirit King and become god himself. Shutara adds that while Aizen is evil, the Quincies are even worse. The captains point out the King's Palace floating in the sky, and then five round floating islands each of which is a palace-city belonging to one of the captains. Ichigo is taken to the Kirin Palace, belonging to the gangster captain Kirinji Tenjiirou, and ends up in a hot spring with Kirinji. Ichigo is surprised to find Rukia, Byakuya and Renji in the water was well, and Kirinji explains that his two springs can heal the wounded through some complex process.
Inside the King's Palace, an attendant asks the Spirit King if he has awakened yet.

Summary:
Ichigo is in Kurotsuchi's lab to see if his zanpukto can be fixed. Kurotsuchi explains that broken shikai can be regenerated by the owner pouring reiatsu into it, but as far as he knows damage to a bankai is permanent (except for Komamura's). Ikakku's bankai got fixed but it was weaker than before, and parts of Renji's blade still have damage from the battle against Byakuya. Out of the blue, Kon runs out in a muscular body and does random stuff before Kurotsuchi turns him off with a remote. Kurotsuchi then gets news and tells Ichigo to come with him to witness the arrival of the Zero Division.
Ichigo and the Gotei 13 captains gather outside of the Seireitei walls. A giant column suddenly drops out of the sky and hits the ground, and from the column steps out the five captains who make up the Zero Division. Even though the Zero Division has no soldiers, their might is supposedly more than all of Gotei 13 combined.

The 4th Division is struggling to find all the injured and take them to be treated. Isane Kotetsu notes that during the battle, no one was taken in, and wonders if they should have went into battle themselves. Captain Unohana chides her gently for letting her feelings get ahead of her, but asks her not to cry and reminds her that Yamamoto's final order was for them to remain in the building.
Ichigo, meanwhile, is told that a message from Urahara came in from Hueco Mundo stating that he, Chad and Orihime were safe at the time it was sent. The person who told him this promises to tell Ichigo if they can establish vocal contact, which Ichigo thanks him for. Meanwhile, Ikkaku is screaming to be released, clearly concerned about his captain and if he has died. Hanataro offers to heal Ichigo, but he states that he already got treatment, to which Hanataro argues that it is quite obvious he still needs to be healed. Then Shinji walks up to the Substitute and states he finished treating Renji and Rukia.
Shinji and Ichigo are told that the two Lieutenants are currently at stable conditions in the Intense Care Unit. Then Rukia wakes up and after pointing out that "stable" does not necessarily mean "alright," she thanks Ichigo for coming to protect Soul Society, to which Ichigo replies that he couldn't do anything. Shinji objects, stating Ichigo chased away the enemy leader and he should be more proud of himself. At this point, a messenger arrives to tell Ichigo that Captain Kurotsuchi wants to see him about his Zanpakutō. As Ichigo heads out, Shinji sighs that Ichigo's always thinking about others and never bothered to fully heal. Rukia suddenly asks why Ichigo seemed so sorrow, and the Captain replies Ichigo wasn't able to save anyone, instead having Tensa Zangetsu broken in half, so obviously he feels tired. Even so, Rukia disagrees, believing Ichigo is hiding a much more serious matter.
Inside the 1st division barracks, the remaining Captains (barring Unohana, Byakuya, Kenpachi, Kyoraku, and Kurotsuchi) are gathered before the remains of Ryūjin Jakka. Ukitake states that the body must have been destroyed by the enemy, to which all the Captains wear sorrowful or frustrated looks. A messenger arrives and reports that Byakuya and Kenpachi have survived, but they may never be able to return to being Captains again and possibly even wake up. Suì-Fēng suddenly loses control of her emotions and screams at him, asking what they have to hear next after the Captain-Commander died. The other Captains watch dejectedly as she screams at Kensei for being so calm because he hated Yamamoto. Kensei begins to get angered as well by this, but Komamura loses his cool as well and roars at her, asking if she thinks she is the only one who wants to scream. While Suì-Fēng is dumbfounded by his words, Kyoraku enters and asks for the fighting to end, noting that if Yamamoto was still here, they all "would've gotten a knuckle" from him. He continues that Yamamoto would call it shameful if he found them crying in front of relics, and when Suì-Fēng tries to interrupt, Kyoraku reminds them that the Gotei 13 were not created for the purpose of mourning the dead or a destroyed Soul Society. Instead, they were formed to protect it. All the captains are moved as he asks that they look forward as they are the Gotei 13.

Bleach 513 - The Dark Moon Stroke
summary:
Left alone, Byakuya notes that Ichigo did not answer his request before leaving. Reflecting on this, he contemplates that this is typical of Ichigo, and that he already knows, even without an answer. He expresses that he will leave it to Ichigo, before finally dying, his Zanpakuto crumbling away.
Haschwald steps towards Ichigo, but Juhabach stops him and tries to reason with the Shinigami. He praises him for breaking out of Quilge's jail, but points out that he is heavily injured, asking if he really intends to fight him in such a state. Paying Juhabach no heed, Ichigo asks him if he is the enemy leader. Juhabach answers that he is, but at the same time he is not. Agitated, Ichigo shouts at him, demanding to know if he is the one who made a mess out of Soul Society. Juhabach confirms that he is.
In response, Ichigo flares his Reiatsu. Juhabach tells Haschwald that there is no choice but to destroy the Shinigami. Ichigo attacks him with a Getsuga Tenshō, but the attack proves ineffective. Juhabach effortlessly pins him down and stabs him through the neck with his sword. Remarking that Ichigo is still breathing, he tells Haschwald to take him back to their castle so that they can resuscitate him and recruit him into their army. As he turns away however, he realizes that Ichigo is still conscious, and that his sword has been halted by Blut Vene. Ichigo then swings his sword at him, tearing up the ground around them with his Reiatsu.

Bleach 511 summary:
As an encounter between Yamamoto and a young Shunsui regarding a picture of a flaming monster is recalled, Yamamoto's severed upper torso falls to the ground. Juhabach tells Haschwald that it is time to leave, but Yamamoto grabs his leg. Juhabach severs the captain-commander's arm and destroys the remains of Yamamoto's body while decrying how weak Yamamoto and the Gotei 13 had become, particularly since the extermination of the Quincy.
Shunsui is struck by multiple shots from his opponent, who then summons the Soldat to complete the destruction of Seireitei. As the Soldat over the survivors and wreck Seireitei, Juhabach tells Haschwald that the Zero Division will soon emerge and that they should withdraw and wait for them. However, an explosion in the air above Juhabach surprises him at that moment.
